How do I clean up old backup data?

There are two ways to clean up the data Armory has backed up to your storage.

Delete old data automatically

Configure a retention policy on the Backup. With the Delete policy, Armory marks segments as expired after a duration you choose and removes them while the Backup is running.

You can set or change this at any time, either from the Console or by editing the Backup’s labels. Shortening the window pulls older segments into scope for deletion, and their expiration dates are recalculated against the new duration.

Remove a topic’s data in one go

To remove a topic’s backup entirely as a one-off, delete the topic’s directory directly from the storage. See Deleting a topic’s data.

Note

Deleting a topic’s backup data from the API and the Console will be supported in a future release.
